About Us
Medessens exists for one reason: to make the years of becoming a healthcare professional a little less overwhelming and a lot more prepared. Between lectures, clinical postings, and the OT, students are expected to learn with their hands as much as their minds — and too often, the tools to actually practice are hard to find, overpriced, or built for hospitals instead of students.
Medessens was founded by Dr. Om Agrawal (MBBS). The idea didn’t come from a boardroom — it came from his own years as a student, standing in a ward and realizing that no amount of reading had actually prepared his fingers for the real thing. That gap between what you’re taught and what you’re handed stayed with him long after graduation, and it became the reason Medessens exists today.
We built Medessens to close that gap for the next student standing where he once stood. Every suture pad, anatomical model, and dissection kit we offer is chosen with a single question in mind: will this genuinely help someone feel more confident the next time they pick up a needle or step into a ward? Alongside that, we make scrubs and apparel designed for the reality of long clinical days — not just how they look, but how they hold up.
We’re not a hospital supply warehouse, and we’re not trying to be. Medessens exists for the in-between — for the years of becoming a doctor, dentist, nurse, or allied health professional, when you’re learning with your hands as much as your mind. That’s a specific kind of customer, and we’d rather serve them well than serve everyone.
