Medessens ("we," "our," "us") operates the website medessens.in (the "Site") and sells equipment, instruments, and apparel (including scrubs and aprons) for healthcare students across medical, dental, nursing, and allied health fields. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect the personal information of visitors and customers ("you"), in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 along with the DPDP Rules, 2025.

By using the Site or placing an order, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

Payments on the Site are processed through PAYU, our third-party payment gateway partner. When you make a payment:

  • Your card, UPI, or bank details are entered directly into the payment gateway's secure environment
  • Medessens does NOT store your full card number, CVV, or net-banking credentials on its own servers
  • The payment gateway's own privacy policy and security standards (PCI-DSS compliant) govern how that data is handled

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Site, built on Shopify, uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep items in your cart and remember your session
  • Understand how visitors use the Site (analytics)
  • Support marketing and retargeting, where applicable

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some Site features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

6. Disclosure of Information

We share information only with:

  • SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS PARTNERS, to deliver your orders
  • PAYMENT GATEWAY (PayU), to process payments

  • GOVERNMENT OR REGULATORY AUTHORITIES, where required by Indian law
